We are proud that two out of four of our Trust schools are designated Google Reference schools meaning that we are at the forefront of trailing and using the innovative tools available in the various Google workspaces. Our students are becoming IT experts and use the Google workspace and tools with fluency and efficiency – so much so – that they were invited to “Take Over” the Google stand at BETT this year to showcase their skills and expertise.
Educators and colleagues from across the sector quizzed our students about how they used Google in school, how it enhanced their learning experiences and how they were developing skills they believed would be necessary for the future of their employment.
Our Director of Education – Victoria Whiting also graced the Google stage at the teaching theatre this year talking and presenting with a panel of experts about the digital transformation journey and the value that technology, if harnessed and used in the right way, can bring to learners in terms of experience and outcomes.
