Achievement through Collaboration (AtC) is a Trust of five strong schools across Blackpool, Blackburn, Wigan, and Lancashire. The Trust is also an accredited ITT provider, operating a network of Teacher Training Hubs across the North-West to deliver high-quality teacher training programme in schools and trusts.
Achievement through Collaboration is a Trust with a purpose! We want our children, our staff and our schools to Achieve, Belong and Collaborate.
CEO Jane Chambers
A Multi Academy Trust is a charity with a single purpose- to advance education for the public benefit.
But, if every Trust has the same single purpose, what is it that sets Achievement through Collaboration apart from other Trusts? What is our promise to our children, staff, parents and communities? How do we ensure that children attending an AtC school are receiving a better education than they would have had should their school not be a member of our Trust?
Achievement through Collaboration is a Trust with a purpose! We want our children, our staff and our schools to Achieve, Belong and Collaborate.
To achieve our purpose, we know there are things we need to get right!
Through a clear definition and articulation of the values and beliefs of Achievement through Collaboration, weโve built an organisation with children at the heart of everything we do. Our schools have the individuality to make the right choices for their pupils, staff and communities within a culture of collaboration.
Our Trust Board owns the strategic plan, holding the executive team to account to deliver it whilst delegating the correct things to the Local Governing Bodies. LGBs are supported to build their role around the children, parents and staff of their individual school whilst expressing the โweโ of the Trust.
Key to maintaining our successful educational standards is a clear trust wide school improvement strategy/plan that meets the needs of every school wherever they are on their journey. Our Trust Wide strategy for capturing the most effective practice and transmitting it between more classrooms is in place and underpinned by a workforce talent management strategy that facilitates staff development and deployment.
A strong central team connects the academies enabling leaders and teachers to concentrate on educational delivery. Achievement through Collaboration is financially stable which enables the strategic allocation of resources that enables standards to be maintained and improvements to be achieved.
We believe that all children, staff and schools benefit from belonging to a family of schools within a strong collaborative multi-academy trust. We are an outward organisation, we embrace innovation and opportunities that benefit our pupils. AtC has invested in staff to build capacity to collaborate with other schools and we are now actively looking to grow further.
If you share our values and are interested in joining one of our schools as a member of staff or your school joining our Trust, we look forward to hearing from you.

Preschool have had an incredible time recently exploring our โPeople Who Help Usโ theme! We were so lucky to welcome some of our local heroes, who taught us vital safety lessons through play, stories, and some very cool equipment.
๐ We learned the lifesaving โStarfishโ shapeโteaching the children how to Float to Live if they ever find themselves in the water. The highlight was definitely watching Coastguard Shaun demonstrate a rescue using a throw line and of course testing if the drysuit would keep our Teacher Kelly Dry!
๐ฎโโ๏ธ๐ฅ The learning didnโt stop there! We became mini-detectives while learning all about fingerprints and the many ways the Police keep us safe. We also practiced what to do if we ever see fire or smell smokeโvital skills for our little ones to know.
Of course, no visit would be complete without getting behind the wheel! We absolutely loved climbing into the Fire Engine and the Coastguard truck.
A huge thank you to our local Public Services HM Coastguard Lytham Blackpool Police and South Shore Fire Station for making these lessons so fun and engaging. Our future recruits are officially ready for action! ๐ … See MoreSee Less
Our Year 1B Scientists were in full investigation mode this week as they had to solve a spilled drink dilemma in the classroom! ๐ฅค๐ฆ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ๐ต๏ธโโ๏ธ
Firstly the children made some brilliant predictions about which materials would be absorbent and which ones would not be absorbent ๐ค๐ญ
From metal and plastic to rock, wood and paper the children put each material to the test! ๐ฉโ๐ฌ๐จโ๐ฌ The children had a brilliant afternoon discovering which materials were great at soaking up the drink and which ones were just simply water resistant ๐ง๐ซ
By the end of the lesson our 1B Scientists knew exactly which material they would grab first to clean up a spill and save the day. Paper was the clear winner! ๐๐ … See MoreSee Less
We need your help in our bid to add greenery to our playground! ๐ฃ
We are politely asking for any parents/carers who may, or may not, work in horticulture to donate any surplus evergreen plants, herbs, perennials or soil that would go a long way towards uplifting our play spaces. We are endeavouring to create greener spaces and would therefore welcome any new or surplus plants.
If you're unsure as to whether an item can be repurposed then please don't hesitate to ask. May we also take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone for their donations so far.
Please share and help our ambitions of going green!๐ณ๐ฟ๐ฑ … See MoreSee Less
